I LOVE YOU!!! Are you really making a cake tonight?? I will like what ever you make so much!! But, for decorations, will you make some Egyptian things on the cake (like camels or pyramids or gods)? That would be really fun for me to think about. Or you could decorate it with teeth, in honor of the birthday wiggly tooth (yours, not mine), but that might be a little gross to have a birthday cake decorated with teeth, come to think of it!
Well, I had a funny day today. It started with me jumping out of bed at 5:10 (thinking it was 5:40), so I washed my face and brushed my teeth and got dressed, and then realized that it was only 5:30--a half an hour before breakfast. So, I came down and read your blog, and that was lovely! Then I went to the site and it was one huge sandstorm all day. We would excavate and then the wind would blow sand right back in what we'd uncovered! It was ridiculous. Dada would have hated it with his contacts!! (But, we did get the other half of the dining room table; I'll send a picture). And, then, after the storm we came home and there was no water!! But that was o.k. because I went to the hot spring, which is like the one in Taos, and kind of like Mai-Mai and Baba's spa (just a bit dirtier and you smell like hard boiled eggs after). Then there was fish for dinner, and you know how much I love fish. Finally, though, the students all got together and made peanut butter cookies for me--very fancy ones with chocolate and marshmellows. It was really sweet.
So that was my birthday, though I would have loved to have spent it with you!!!! I miss you and I will love seeing the pictures of your cake!!
Write and tell me about your tooth and the cake (but maybe not the cake decorated with teeth).
Love, love, love,
your Mama
p.s. I have been waiting for an hour for the pictures to upload, my dear, so I think I will go to bed. I'll try again tomorrow. But, know how much I love you. Hug dada and give him a big kiss for me!!
