Dear Mama,
At Liana's birthday, we made hats and I had a quesadilla and grilled cheese. And we went on the planet Mars and we went on a rocket ship. There were a lot of Martians there. We even got to see the Queen's royal kitchen and the Queen's royal bathroom! And all the aliens did a silly, silly dance. The silliest one was named Cutie Pie. And then we went to the game room and played games.
Earlier that day we went to the Science Fair at Columbia School and my favorite one was the one that showed us what to do to people when they were dying or when they were choking to bring them back to life. If it's a baby, you use two finger and you push down on the chest while listening to music, and you use the beat of the music to push down 30 times to get the heart started again. And then, you put your hand under the nose and you feel if air's coming out. If not, you do it another 30 times. And you feel for the pulse too. And we also got to see how the brain works from some guy, and the guy said the brain is like what's inside the computer and he showed us an animation where the red cells in the brain were the ones who were talking and the gray cells were the ones who were listening. And at the end, you got to get a sticker! And the other one we went to was the one where it showed us how to make a comet using dry ice, dirt, two cups of water, and oil in a bag. You mixed them all together.
And on Friday... I read a poem out loud at school about Volcanos. Here's the poem I read:
Orange drizzling down.
Boom!
Smoke pushing out.
Lava flying.
Fire blasting.
Fire hot.
Fire burning in hole.
Volcanos.
I wrote two parts of the poem: "Lava flying" and "Fire burning in hole."
We had an assembly. I wish I was in 1st grade with Leah because they got to do the easiest thing in the world and we had the lamest.
And... also on Friday, I went to Paint-your-own-pottery and I painted Starling's bowl for Claire and Blake. And then I watched "Bolt" at Nana's house. Remember when we watched that together?
Please show me pictures of you and tell me what your shower was like today.
Love,
Julia

PSS - Today, I met Zeno who I'm going to babysit next Sunday. He loved my tights and Dada's scarf. Dada threw him up in the air.
