That is the most wonderful picture!!! I love the shrine to sea glass, and I am so glad that you drew a picture of that rather than a picture of everyone throwing up on the ride back!! Very good choice. Also, you draw the most marvelous birds! I love them!! And, how bizarre that you got to see a shoe through the telescope. I guess it would be weirder if you saw the shoe and were pointing the telescope at the moon!!
Well, today was super fun over here. We drove all over the oasis and saw our site (called Amheida) as well as a really old village and a school, etc. I did take pictures, but for some reason they're not transfering, so I'll send a picture that one of the students posted on facebook. It is of our bus and my butt. How's that? Also I'll post one of our mud house. And, tomorrow I'll try to figure out transferring pictures.
Meanwhile, I love you up and down a million sand dunes. And I love you more than all 50 camels that we saw walking down the road today!!

p.s. We were looking at the car and not driving in it because it got stuck! All 14 of us had to push it out of the sand. Then we all had to cram back in it!
