Hi Cutie,
Am I writing you on your third and a half day off of school? How are you?? I loved your blog and hearing about all of your movies and playdates, and museum experiences. You do so much, it's hard to keep up! Well, I adore you. Will you give yourself a huge hug for me and then give Dada a huge hug too? That would make me really happy!
Well, we just got back from 2 and a half days in an oasis called Kharga, and it was very fun. I am sending some pictures, and I hope you can see what they are. One is a picture of that fort which you said looked really small. This time one of my favorite students is at the top of the fort so you can see how small he is and how big the fort is. The fort was way out in the middle of nowhere, through lots of sand dunes, so we had to get there on a cart pulled by a tractor. So, I put in a picture of all the students pushing the cart when we got stuck in a sand dune. Finally, I have a picture (very small) of a goat riding on the back of a motorcycle. It looked like something Dr. Seuss would have made up!!
So, the trip was really fun and we saw loads of different sites. But, the place we stayed at was really and truly terrible! I was rooming with my assistant Lisa and our first room squirted water all over you while you sat on the potty. The second room, the potty didn't work at all, the third room there was no water anywhere. But, we didn't figure that out until Lisa, who was really excited to take a shower that wasn't hot-cold-hot-cold, got all nudie and stood under the shower and no water came out, and we couldn't even wash our faces. Then later the door handle came off in our hands when we tried to leave our room. So, I don't think we'll go there again!!
O.k. you, your turn. Tell me about your day. I LOVE yooooouuuuu (and Dada) huge amounts!!! Wish I could be there to give you a huge hug in person. Luckily, it is almost February, and February is the shortest month. I hope it flies by!
Love,
Mama
